Self-Cleaning Melt Filter — Continuous Filtration for Heavily Contaminated Recyclates
The self-cleaning melt filter is purpose-engineered for high-contamination post-consumer (PCR) recycling pelletizing lines, where conventional screen changers struggle to keep up.
Innovative Working Principle Unlike conventional rotary-blade screen changers, it reverses the logic: the scrapers stay static while the mesh plates rotate. As the mesh plates spin, the fixed scrapers continuously sweep contaminants off the filtration surface, and a discharge screw expels the concentrated dirt out of the system — filtration and self-cleaning proceed simultaneously, non-stop.

Core Working Principle

  • Two groups of filter plates work simultaneously to enlarge effective filtration area and shorten melt flow path.
  • Mesh plates rotate at low speed; stationary short scrapers tightly fit mesh-plate surface to scrape off contaminants.
  • Scraped impurities are conveyed by independent discharge screw; cooling structure installed at screw outlet discharges impurities in solid-state.
  • Continuous filtration & automatic slag discharge, no interruption to extrusion production and nearly no pressure fluctuation.
